Friction welding represents the best method in terms of assimilating materials together. It works by twisting two materials against each other at high speed, causing friction, which in turn heats up both of the materials to the point where they melt an converge.
Unlike normal welding, it offers STRONGER BOND between the material joints. As a result, it increases the wear life of the rollers and high resistance to fatigue.
SUNTREK Rollers are produced using forging method. The method is well known for producing high quality products which increases wear life an strength.
Forging is the process by which metal is heated an is shaped by plastic deformation while suitably appliying compressive force. Usually the compressive force is in the from of hammer blows using a power hammer or a press.
Forging allows the grain flow to be oriented in the direction of principal stresses encountered in actual use.
